Jewelry Store 'Smash-And-Grab' Robbery Reported In San Bruno

SAN BRUNO, CA β San Bruno police are looking for a jewelry store thief who smashed glass display cases and took off running with "several pieces of jewelry" from the Shops at Tanforan this week, the agency says. The theft happened on Tuesday just before 8 p.m., according to the San Bruno Police Department.
Police said a man smashed through several displays with a hammer at the mall, and grabbed the valuables from inside.
"The suspect was observed entering a dark blue, two door, older model vehicle," police said in a news release. "The vehicle was last seen fleeing south on El Camino Real."

Police said the suspect is described as a black man, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a slim build and dreadlocks. The man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, light blue jeans and blue shoes.
