Man Crashes In San Bruno, DUI Suspected: Cops

The man lost control of his vehicle and hit the center median's curb and guardrail, officials said.

SAN BRUNO, CA — A 29-year-old San Francisco man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after crashing into the center median of a street in San Bruno early Thursday morning, police said.

The crash was reported at about 12:20 a.m. on Sharp Park Road just west of Skyline Boulevard, according to police.

Albert Smith, 29, apparently lost control of his vehicle and hit the center median's curb and guardrail. The vehicle sustained major damage but Smith was not injured, police said.

Officers arrested him on suspicion of DUI and released him to a local sobering facility after he signed a promise to appear in court, according to police.
