The wife of a man whoΒ allegedly attempted to throw her from theΒ San Mateo-Hayward BridgeΒ last monthΒ is asking publicly for help with legal expenses.
In aΒ GoFundMeΒ campaign, a website where supporters can make donations to almost any cause, Nadia McClinton wrote this about Xavier McClinton,Β who is being held without bail for her attempted murder:
Xavier and I appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from the community. Many of you have asked how you can help.
Xavier's case is currently winding its way through the legal system. It is a slow, and as you can imagine, expensive process. We are asking for donations for his legal defense fund. Donations ofΒ anyΒ amount will help pay for the massive legal expenses this situation has generated.Β
Anyone who knows Xavier knows he is a gentle giant, and has given so much to so many. This is a way to help him in his time of need.Β
This is going to be a long, healing process. Xavier and I are so very grateful to have you in our lives and know that we can make it through with everyone's help and love.
Nadia
