SAN BRUNO PARK SCHOOL DISTRICT APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION & STUDENT SERVICES

San Bruno, CA. May 10, 2018.

Sarah Notch will join San Bruno Park School District as the new Director of Special Education and Student Services. In action taken by the Board of Trustees on May 9, 2018, Ms. Notch’s appointment is effective July 1, 2018.

“Ms. Notch brings a truly impressive background of skill and experience in all areas necessary to meet the needs of our student population with special needs. Parents and colleagues alike attest to her dedication to shape school culture to become more safe and inclusive and her ability to build capacity of faculty and staff to serve at-risk students and students with special needs”, commented Superintendent Dr. Stella M. Kemp.

Holding Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Special Education, Ms. Notch’s 16-year career has been devoted to serving students with special needs. Described as an “effective, compassionate, inclusive administrator”, Ms. Notch has successfully transformed intervention initiatives in her previous assignments, most recently with Fremont Union High School District in Sunnyvale. Among her honors is that of being credited as leading one of the top 1% of innovative and effective Special Education Services Departments of the State.

“I am very much looking forward to joining the San Bruno school community and working with students, teachers and parents to create systems and practices that ensure positive outcomes for all learners. My life’s work has been in the area of helping at risk students and students with special needs. I am thrilled to embrace this new opportunity to share my passion and experience with San Bruno families and teachers”, commented Ms. Notch.
