One Hospitalized As Fire Rips Through Daly City Home, Fire Officials Say

DALY CITY, CA -- Daly City resident was hospitalized after a fire broke out in their home Sunday morning, fire officials said. According to the North County Fire Authority, firefighters responded at 7:49 a.m. to a structure fire at 566 Gellert Blvd.
Fire crews arrived and found heavy smoke coming from three sides of a two-story single-family house. Firefighters attacked and knocked down the blaze in about 10 minutes, fire officials said.
Paramedics treated a resident of the home at the scene for smoke inhalation. The resident was later taken to a nearby hospital, fire officials said.

Fire crews remained on the scene for about 90 minutes.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the North County Fire Prevention Services Bureau.
