Patch Sincerely Regrets...Corrections and Clarifications

In a story published earlier today Patch incorrectly referred to the San Mateo County Grand Jury as a criminal grand jury. Â The grand jury is actually a civil grand jury. Â The correction is below and has been added to the story.

The San Mateo County Civil Grand Jury is judicial body composed of 19 citizens. It is impaneled to act as an arm of the court, as authorized by the State Constitution, to be "a voice of the people and conscience of the community." It investigates local government.Â

In an article published earlier today, March 26, 2013 Patch implied that a $1,850 payment for aerial photagraph was paid out of the general fund. Â That is worng.
According to City Manager Connie Jackson, "This photography service and all other costs associated with rebuild and recovery are being covered through the Trust Fund established by agreement between the City and PGE. The Trust Fund is funded entirely (at a maximum amount of $50 million) by PGE. No "taxpayer money" is being used for these purposes."
