Peter's Cafe: All-American Fare

This week's choice offers attentive service, diner favorites.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

Peter's isn't retro; it's been an old-fashioned diner all along, and the lines of customers attest to the quality of the ample,  all-American fare and the attentive service. Apple pancakes, Swedish pancakes and the "Dutch boy" make this a popular brunch and early-morning breakfast spot. Peter's also serves up such traditional diner favorites as chicken-fried steak and Monte Cristo sandwiches.  Comfort food in a hurry, this is a good spot to visit with friends. Entrees average $7. Credit cards accepted. Beer and wine.

10 El Camino Real, Millbrae, CA
