Police Activity Prompts Brief San Bruno Closure: UPDATED
Police say the incident was terminated after they learned there was no merit to a report they received.

UPDATE 9 P.M.: San Bruno police say that a report of a man with a gun prompted a brief closure in town Monday, but that closure was lifted when they later learned there was no merit to the "threat."
According to San Bruno Police Lt. Troy Fry, police received a call Monday afternoon about the possible incident on Fleetwood Drive.
"We received a report of a subject being inside a house with a gun... [but] none of that had any merit," Fry said.

Once police fully investigated the possible threat and deemed all to be safe, they lifted the request to steer clear of the area.
UPDATE 2 P.M.: Police say that the scene has been cleared, but have yet to say what the initial activity was regarding.

"Situation has been resolved without incident, resume normal activity in the area," San Bruno police tweeted.

SAN BRUNO, CA β San Bruno police are asking the public to stay away from the 2100 block of Fleetwood Drive this afternoon.
Officials aren't releasing many details at this time but say "police activity" in the area is the reason for the request. Just after 1 p.m. the agency tweeted the request and then sent out the following alert on email:
"Please avoid the area of the 2100blk of Fleetwood Drive in San Bruno due to police activity," the alert states. "We will send an additional notification when activity has ended. Thank you in advance for your cooperation."
