Here are some important things happening around town that everyone should know about this coming week.
Saturday, Dec. 3. 11 a.m. The San Bruno Education Foundation and Barnes & Noble are teaming up to hold a book fair for the community. The book fair will take place outside the bookstore at the mall. San Bruno Park School District Superintendent David Hutt will be doing a reading. Other activities are planned and will last until 4 p.m. Flier attached.
Saturday, Dec 3. 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The West Bay Rams' pop warner program is having a fundraising garage sale at 3150 Crestmoor Drive so the girls can go to Walt Disney World for the national cheer and dance finals. Call 650-743-9600 for more information.

Friday, Dec. 9. All day. The Pop Warner West Bay Rams Junior Midget Dance Team (11-13 year olds) have qualified to advance to the Pop Warner National Championships at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Center at Disney World in Florida. This event will be televised on ESPN. Sponsors are needed for travel, meals and accommodation expenses and to ensure that every child’s experience is memorable, fun and, most importantly, a safe experience. This non-profit football, cheerleading and dance program has lifted self esteem, encouraged excellence in scholastics, helped build life-long friendships, taught valuable life skills and physical strength while having fun and learning how important community is. Thursday, Dec. 8..8–9:30 a.m. Join your neighbors for a cup of coffee and conversation with Assemblyman Jerry Hill for his Java with Jerry, being held at Kaffeehaus, 92 E. Third Ave., in San Mateo. Bring your ideas, questions and concerns about legislative issues affecting the community. Coffee will be provided at no taxpayer expense. You are welcome to sit down and stay a while or just drop in for a brief chat. No appointment is necessary.

Events Beyond This Week...So You Can Plan Properly
Monday, Dec. 19 through Friday, Dec. 30. 10 a.m.–4 p.m. The city's winter camp will take place at the rec center's community room. There is an extra cost to extend hours until 6 p.m.
