Recognize Him? San Bruno Armed Would-Be Robber Sought
The would-be robber tried to hold up a local convenience store clerk, but took off running, police said.

SAN BRUNO, CA — Police in San Bruno are asking for the public's help finding a man who entered a local business and held up a clerk at gunpoint. The man, who quickly left empty-handed after the clerk picked up the phone, can be seen in surveillance footage shared by police.
Officers with the San Bruno Police Department responded Wednesday at 9:17 p.m. to a report of an armed robbery at the Speedy Spot convenience store at 701 Jenevein Ave.
"A subsequent investigation revealed that a male suspect entered the store and pointed a firearm at the clerk," San Bruno Police Lt. Ryan Johansen said in a news release. "The suspect demanded property, but the clerk picked up the phone causing the suspect to flee."

The suspect is described as a white man, about 32 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a heavy build and with brown hair, a beard and a mustache.
The suspect was wearing a khaki sun hat, a black/gray shirt and shorts.Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the San Bruno Police Department at (650) 616-7100.
