SamTrans to Hold Outreach on Dumbarton Corridor Study
SamTrans will be offering several opportunities for the public to learn about the Dumbarton Corridor Study report and provide feedback that will help inform the final adoption of the report in October. The draft report will be released on August 15 and concerns and comments will be included in the final report.
The study contains draft recommendations that would address traffic congestion and create new mobility alternatives along the Dumbarton Corridor between Alameda County and San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. The primary focus of the study is the improvement of traffic congestion along the Dumbarton transportation corridor through restoration of the Dumbarton Rail Bridge to support trains that could eventually be interlined with Caltrain, ACE and Capitol Corridor, and improvements to Highway 84 that will allow for increased bus service.
Two public meetings will be held by SamTrans at the following locations:
Tuesday, August 15, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Union City Library
34007 Alvarado-Niles Road, Union City
Wednesday, August 16, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
