Although there is a great deal of work that remains to be completed, the San Bruno Police Department would like to take a moment to extend our sincere gratitude to those who responded to the shooting incident on Tuesday, April 3rd, at the YouTube Headquarters in our City. The level of cooperation and collaboration among first responders was truly amazing and allowed for the resolution of this incident in the safest possible manner. We are proud to work alongside all of our Bay Area Law Enforcement Agencies, Fire Departments, and Emergency Medical Service Responders Partners on a daily basis.

Additionally, we'd like to convey how much we appreciate the assistance provided by YouTube. Their level of preparedness to provide essential services to hundreds of employees at a moment's notice removed a tremendous strain from first responders and allowed us to focus solely on securing a dangerous and hectic scene.

Finally, we could not be more grateful for the support we, as a Department and City, have received from the public. It has touched us all in a meaningful way. Over the next few days and weeks we will work to ensure that first responders are afforded any assistance they may require. Additionally, we will be evaluating our response to this incident to identify areas where we excelled as well as those areas that require additional attention.

On behalf of all of us at the San Bruno Police Department, Thank You Very Much! This was an event that required cooperation and support of multiple public sector and private sector partners, as well as the support of the public we are charged with serving. Once again you all came through with flying colors and we will always be grateful.
