Community Grant Awards to be Considered at December 5 Board Meeting

The Foundation's Board of Directors will hold its regular monthly meeting on December 5, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. at the San Bruno Senior Center, 1555 Crystal Springs Road. The agenda is posted below, and members of the public are welcome to attend.

At the December 5 meeting, the Board will receive and consider the recommendations of the Community Grants Fund Review Panel regarding grant awards for the 2018-2019 grant cycle. The Board will consider awarding 25 grants totaling $300,000, which will be funded by $200,000 of the Foundation's funds and a$100,000 donation from YouTube and Google.org.

The December 5 meeting's agenda includes reports on the Foundation's other programs, consideration of a strategic grant to the City of San Bruno in support of the 2019 Community Day, and a report from the Investment Committee.

The complete Board meeting packet, including the agenda for the special meeting, is available for download atwww.sbcf.org/meetings. A hard copy of the complete packet will be available for public review with the City Clerk at San Bruno City Hall and at the San Bruno Public Library.

7. Conduct of Business

a. Receive Recommendation from Community Grants Fund Review Panel and Adopt Resolutions Awarding 2018-2019 Community Grants Totaling $300,000

b. Receive Report from Ad Hoc Committee on Recreation and Aquatics Center Project

c. Receive Report on Other Programs (Crestmoor Neighborhood Memorial Scholarship and Other Strategic Grants) and Adopt Resolution Approving Strategic Grant to the City of San Bruno to Support Community Day 2019 and Authorizing Receipt of Donations in Support of Community Day

d. Receive Report from Investment Committee and Adopt Resolution Authorizing Executive Director to Execute a Professional Services Agreement with Sand Hill Global Advisors, LLC, for Investment Management Services Commencing March 11, 2019

8. Public Comment: Individuals are allowed three minutes, groups in attendance, five minutes. If you are unable to remain at the meeting, contact the President to request that the Board consider your comments earlier. It is the Board’s policy to refer matters raised in this forum to staff for research and/or action where appropriate. The Brown Act prohibits the Board from discussing or acting upon any matter not agendized pursuant to State Law.

The 2019 Crestmoor Neighborhood Memorial Scholarship will launch the week of December 10, 2018, when the online application and updated program information will be available at sbcf.org.

The application deadline will be Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 5:00 p.m.
