Caltrain to Run Special Service for Giants Home Playoff Games This Week

Caltrain will provide extra capacity and run special service for Giants fans attending the team’s three home playoff games this week.
The Giants will face the St. Louis Cardinals at 1:07 p.m. on Tuesday for Game Three of the National League Championship Series. Game Four will be held on Wednesday at 5:07 p.m., and Game Five will be played at the same time on Thursday.

Prior to all three games, Caltrain will provide extra capacity for fans travelling to the San Francisco Caltrain Station, which is just one block from AT&T Park, home of the Giants.
On Wednesday and Thursday nights, an extra express train to San Carlos will leave approximately 15 minutes after the last out tonight, or when full, and then make all locals stops after San Carlos to San Jose Diridon station. The second train will depart San Francisco 25 minutes after the game, or when full, and serve all local stops to San Jose Diridon.
The Giants and Cardinals enter the three-game homestead at AT&T Park tied at 1-1 in the NLCS. The Giants captured the opener of the best-of-seven series with a 3-0 win in St. Louis on Saturday. The Cardinals answered with a 5-4 victory on Sunday to even the series.
Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold on board trains but can be purchased at ticket machines at the stations. To save time on the return trip, fans are encouraged to buy a Day Pass. Clipper card users (e-cash and 8-ride tickets) are reminded to tag on and tag off.
Caltrain reminds fans to drink responsibly and to remember that alcohol is not allowed on game-day trains beginning at 9 p.m.
