On Thursday March 8, 2018, at approximately 4:00 p.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the report of two vehicle burglaries that had just occurred in the parking lot of the Shops at Tanforan in San Bruno. Two suspects fled the scene in a silver Honda, just before officers had arrived.

A subsequent investigation led to the identification of the two suspects and the vehicle they had been traveling in. With the assistance of the San Francisco Police Department, the vehicle and one of the suspects were located in San Francisco. San Bruno Police Officers prepared and executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in San Francisco. The second suspect and a large amount of suspected stolen property were located at the residence.

Thirty-seven year old Brian Cooper and thirty year old Marcia Wellington, both of San Francisco, were arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail for charges relating to vehicle burglary, possession of stolen property, and possession of controlled substances.

This is an ongoing investigation being handled by the San Bruno Police Department’s Investigative Services Section.
