San Bruno Starbucks Robbed

According to police, a suspect had forcibly taken merchandise from an employee.

SAN BRUNO, CA -- San Bruno police arrested a man who allegedly committed a strong-arm robbery at a coffee shop Thursday afternoon. At 4:26 p.m., officers responded to the Starbucks at the Shops at Tanforan to investigate a disturbance.

According to police, a suspect had forcibly taken merchandise from an employee, then fled the mall on foot.

No one was injured during the crime, police said.

Officers later found the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Pierre Wilkes. He was arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of robbery, police said.
