He is continuing on the job serving San Bruno CA residents

Article Source: City of San Bruno CA

At the January 9 2018 San Bruno CA City Council Meeting and at the first meeting for new Mayor Rico E. Medina, Mayor Rico E. Medina read from his prepared words:

Bob Magni has always enjoyed working with his hands and plants. Following graduation from High School in 1975, he decided he would try the horticulture program at San Francisco City College. On December 16, 1977, Bob started his career with the Parks Maintenance Division with the City of San Bruno. Over the next 40 years, Bob worked different positions within the Parks Maintenance Divisions, ultimately assuming responsibility as the lead maintenance worker responsible for mowing all City fields and lawns as well as the ball fields of the San Bruno Park School District. If there is a piece of grass within the City, chances are Bob mows it.

While playing volleyball at the Veterans Memorial Recreation Center in a program he developed and ran for 16 years, Bob met his wife Michelle. They have two wonderful children, Adam and Lucas, who are both in college. Family has always been top priority for Bob. Whether it is supporting his children in school and extracurricular activities, helping a family member in need, or just simply making time to be with his family, Bob is always there for them.

Bob’s easy going nature, his positive attitude, and his ability to get along with just about everyone, has allowed him to flourish as a San Bruno City employee. Over the past 40 years, there has been many changes throughout San Bruno, but one thing has remained constant; Bob’s presence on the mower, smiling and waving to passers-by. He is ambassador for the City and for dedicated public service.

Congratulations on 40 years of service and best wishes for many more years of dedicated and successful service.

After Bob's few words, he received a standing ovation.

Bob is an example of the employees who continue to serve the residents of the City of San Bruno CA.
