Guest Speaker: Our speaker for the February 6th 3019 meeting is John W. Lehman.

You may remember John from his session with us in September 2016.

He was the featured speaker who divided us into tables to compete in naming songs, or singers, or the movie of the songs he was playing. This turned into a very lively lunchtime as each of us racked our memory to come up with the big names of by-gone times.

John is now the office and marketing manager for SarahCare of Campbell, an adult day activity center, where he has given twice weekly “vintage-music-for- memory” sessions since August 2012.

John is an amateur musicologist and collector since 1960, and has every original popular recording from 1890 to the present. He started giving vintage music entertainment sessions in 2004 and has given over 150.

As Executive Director of the Senior New Ways non-profit, John created Vintage Music for Memory Therapy for groups and individuals. He delivers the “reminiscence” therapy to SarahCare of Campbell and some residential care centers.

We have monthly luncheons with interesting speakers and good fellowship.
