On Friday, January 5, 2018, at 3:00 a.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to a report of two male subjects breaking into vehicles in the area of Bayshore Circle and Herman Street in San Bruno. Officers located two male subjects that matched the description provided by witnesses, and attempted to contact them. The subjects ran from officers in an attempt to flee. Officers detained one subject, but were unable to locate the second subject. Officers determined that multiple vehicles in the area had been broken into. The subject that officers had detained was identified by a witness as having committed at least one of those vehicle burglaries. This subject was also found to be in possession of property stolen from some of the vehicles that had been burglarized.

The suspect, a 16-year-old resident of San Francisco, was booked into the county juvenile detention facility for charges related to vehicle burglary, conspiracy, and resisting arrest.
