Water Conservation
On January 28, 2014, the City of San Bruno asked residents and businesses to conserve water to help meet the 10% voluntary reduction goal that will help preserve both the valuable resources of the Hetch Hetchy watershed and our own local groundwater resources.
So far in 2014 residents have reduced their water consumption by 2% and all citywide users by 5%. The City is encouraged by these early results. However, if the 10% goal is not achieved, mandatory reduction requirements may be adopted.
Furthermore, free low-flow shower heads, a 5-minute shower timer, as well as free bathroom and kitchen faucet aerators can be obtained at the City Hall Public Services counter.
