Woman Accused of Running Over Security Guard at San Bruno Mall
Police say that the woman ran over the guard's arms after a confrontation for shoplifting.

SAN BRUNO, CA – San Bruno police arrested a woman suspected of running over a J.C. Penney security guard with a car after she was caught shoplifting at the Shops at Tanforan mall Wednesday, police said.
Shaquett Thompson, 22, of San Francisco, allegedly shoplifted several items from the store at about 1:15 p.m. and was followed out to her car by a store security guard, police Sgt. Ryan Johansen said.
After a brief confrontation, Thompson allegedly knocked the security guard to the ground, got into her car and drove at the employee, running over both of her arms, Johansen said.

Thompson is also accused of striking several cars before crashing into a support girder in the parking structure and fleeing on foot, police said.
Officers located her shortly after she fled and arrested her on suspicion of attempted murder, robbery and hit-and-run.

The security guard suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. She is expected to recover, Johansen said.
