Location 
d.tech will officially be at Mills High School for the first year. We got word last night from the San Mateo Union High School District that the San Mateo County Office of Education will be offering classes at the ROP building next school year, and therefore it is not available for our use. As much as we liked the idea of being in that space, we are excited to move forward with our finalized decision about where we will start our first year of Design Tech High School.

Being on the Mills High School campus will serve us well for the first year. We continue to seek ways to take the lead on being good neighbors, as we realize we are guests on their campus. We are appreciative of the families from the Mills community who have reached out to us in order to start forming what they call "a positive plan to co-exist with d.tech". Let's begin that now!

As mentioned before, we have a wonderful architecture firm, gouldevans, who has taken us on as their community service project for their 40th anniversary. They are meeting with our students and staff next week to understand our needs and desires for the space. Already they have come up with great solutions to creating flexible spaces (without making any structural changes) in order to foster the type of environment that we want at d.tech. We are grateful for their work and excited to see the transformation of the traditional classroom space into d.tech space!
