At this important meeting, the Planning Commission of San Mateo will listen to recommendations from the community as to what they need to study and review prior to making their recommendation to the City Council regarding the Preapplication to replace the Bridgepointe Ice Rink with a retail store. The rink is the Community Benefit as designated in the Master Plan. A different developer in the 90's tried to change the zoning, and the City Council at that time, voted 5-0 to keep the rink and not replace it with retail! Please join us on Tuesday to show the city of San Mateo that we want this rink to stay! Everyone wants this rink to stay. The only one who wants this change is the developer who stands to make millions if the city allows the change to go through. Please join us.
