Healthy Cities Tutoring Volunteer Recognition Reception

On Tuesday, May 20, Healthy Cities Tutoring will hold its 18th annual Volunteer Recognition Reception to honor the 233 volunteers who provided one-on-one tutoring and mentoring for students in our local schools this year.

Volunteers will receive Certificates of Appreciation signed by the nonprofit's Board President, Lauren Pachkowski, City of San Carlos Mayor, Mark Olbert and School Board President, Adam Rak. Volunteers who have provided five, ten and fifteen years of service will also honored for their length of service with the organization.

The organization has provided tutoring and mentoring to 260 students for the 2013-2014 school year and will continue to grow to meet the need in the fall of 2014 with the help of more volunteers from the community.

Please visit the organization's website at: www.healthycitiestutoirng.org for more information or to sign up to be a tutor.
