Help Lead the Future in San Carlos

The Redwood City Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Leadership Program for 2012-13. It's a way to learn more about the community in which you live and/or work.

Leadership San Carlos is looking for a few good people. It's actually a combined three-city program between Redwood City, San Carlos and Belmont.

The Redwood City Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Leadership Program for 2012-13. It's a way to learn more about the community in which you live and/or work. Perhaps there's someone who wants to learn how to become more involved with the issues facing their community.

The program would also be valuable for those already involved in local community and are seeking access to community and business leaders.

The most recent graduating class left the Leadership Program with a new or renewed sense of commitment to their local communities.

"Civic education is the heartbeat of democracy," Congresswoman Jackie Speier said.

For information, or to apply for the program, visit the Redwood City Chamber of Commerce website.

Sessions held one Friday a month, September through June, features presentations from experts in the field of each weekly topic.

The first class will be held September 14, 2012 and sessions generally run from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., which includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
