Coldwell Bankers new report ranks San Carlos 11th in the nation out of 2,319 markets reviewed.

San Carlos is one of the most expensive housing markets in the country, ranking 11th nationwide out of 2,319 markets and 8th statewide, according to a recent report released by Coldwell Bankers.
The second annual Home Listing Report looked at the average listing price of four-bedroom, two-bath homes in 2,319 markets. San Carlos' average home listing price was $1,108,417. It is one of only 10 cities reviewed in the state to break the $1 million average price mark, and one of 15 nationwide to do so.
"Schools, small-town community feel and mid-peninsula location," realtor Bob Bredel said were the reasons he constantly hears from buyers who want to live in the city of good living.
