A Waltz, a Panther, Health Insurance but No Trains

What's going on this weekend in San Clemente.

1. Tritons play a panther:  Sounds like we’re describing a sporting matchup. But it the thespians at San Clemente High we’re discussing. Catch the last two performances of The Pink Panther Strikes Again! 6:30 tonight and Saturday night at the Triton Center. Tickets may be purchased at the box office starting at 5:30 p.m. before each performance.

2. Just like Dancing with the Stars:  Learn how to waltz at the monthly dancing event from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Friday in the San Clemente Community Center, 100 N. Calle Seville. Open dancing to music of all kinds for couples and singles follows the lesson. Tickets are $10.             

3.  Train service interrupted: Metrolink service between San Clemente and Oceanside will not be available this weekend to complete work on the Santa Margarita Bridge in Camp Pendleton. There will be no bus service or alternate transportation provided to or from Oceanside, according to Metrolink. Plan accordingly.

4. Got health insurance? Catholic Charities of Orange will make available enrollment counselors to assist you with enrollment from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Community Center.

5. Music on tap: Iva Lee’s has The Bayou Brothers on Friday and Blue Medicine on Saturday. Goody’s Tavern has I Band Friday night and The Clerks on Saturday night. Molly Bloom’s Irish Bar & Restaurant has The Monsoons Saturday night.
