Mom Threatens to Kidnap Children, Is Arrested

At 11:04 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 10, deputies received a call about a disturbance in the 2400 block of El Camino Real. The caller claimed his erratic wife was trying to leave with their children. The wife was heard screaming hysterically and claiming the husband was beating her and holding her against her will. Deputies arrived and arrested the 38-year-old mother. She is currently in custody with no bail amount posted.

At 4:22 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 10, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 100 block of Avenida Pico. The caller said a man in red flannel was talking to himself and harassing customers coming out of a gym and Del Taco.
At 8:59 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 10, someone reported a suspicious person in the 900 block of El Camino Real. Deputies arrived and detained two men before searching their vehicle. No arrest was made.
At 2:45 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 11, a caller told deputies about vandalism in the 200 block of Avanida Del Mar. The caller said a man she knew had smashed her car’s window earlier that evening. No arrest was made.
