Grouchy Teen Goes to Great Lengths to Skip School

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, a sleepy woman is arrested, a tow truck driver doing his job angers, and a teen is arrested for allegedly using illegal drugs.

At 12:42 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 11, a concerned parent called to report a disturbance in the 6000 block of Camino Terra. The parent claimed her 17-year-old son was refusing to go to school, so the parents had locked him out of the house. The angry teen then began to throw objects at the house and break windows. Deputies arrived to diffuse the situation.

At 8:30 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 11, a caller reported a suspicious person in a vehicle in the 200 block of Avenida del Poniente. A woman inside a white truck was sleeping with the engine running. Deputies arrived and arrested a 32-year-old woman. The woman has since been released from jail.

At 9:39 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 11, deputies received a call about a disturbance in the 100 block of Canada. The caller was towing a vehicle, which was making one citizen particularly unhappy. The tower said a man was screaming and honking at him for blocking the road.

At 12:13 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 11, someone reported a disturbance in the 700 block of Calle Los Olivos. Two men were sitting on a park bench and doing illegal drugs, the caller said. Deputies arrived and arrested a 20-year-old teen. The teen is currently in custody with no bail amount posted.
