Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your San Clemente Patch surf report. Well, it looks like one of those days where the conditions are going to take a quick turn for the worse. Yep, there's already some texture or light bump on it from the start.
As far as the surf goes, we're seeing a fair amount of energy in the water. There's mostly west-northwest and northwest windswell and some pretty minimal leftover south-southwest energy.
That recipe is making for some kind of mushy and textured lines, with a few decent ones. Most spots in San Clemente are running about knee- to stomach-high, with the standout combo breaks pulling chest-high waves, with maybe a plus set.

Taking a look at the tides ... at 8:58 this morning it drops to a 0.1 low, which will have many spots needing water early to mid-morning. The tide then climbs back to a 3.6 high at 4:22 this afternoon.
If you're itching to get wet, then you'll want to wear a 3/2 fullsuit, with the water temperature hanging between 59 and 62 degrees. Good luck out there!
