• San Clemente Free Trolley Guide Thursdays August 20 2026 (southocbeaches.com) — San Clemente's free summer trolley is running daily in 2026, with red, blue, and green lines circulating every 15–25 minutes and connecting to Metrolink at North Beach and the Pier. Riders are encouraged to hop on to help sustain ridership-based grant funding, with ADA access, bike racks, and real-time tracking via the Passiogo app.
   

• Man Sentenced to 8 Years for Shooting in Mission Viejo (mynewsla.com) — A domestic violence call in San Clemente involving Michael Nathan French led, minutes later, to a Mission Viejo shooting that seriously injured a 21-year-old woman. French, from Aliso Viejo, was later arrested nearby and has now been sentenced to eight years in state prison. The case ties together incidents in San Clemente, reckless driving, and a hit-and-run before the shooting.
