A free youth outreach art-themed party is planed for Aug 16 at San Luis Rey Park in San Clemente.

The residents of the low-income street Calle del Comercio, “AKA ’crack alley,’” are reaching out to the troubled youth in the area to gather in the park and make various forms of art to be hung throughout the balconies on Calle del Comercio, said Cory Scurlock, a member of Trestles Community Outreach, which is sponsoring the event.
