March 23, 2021….San Clemente, California….The City of San Clemente Beaches, Parks & Recreation Commission and Recreation Division is seeking public input regarding dog amenities and dog access to public spaces including beaches and parks. A brief survey is available on the City’s website: www.san-clemente.org/dogs. The survey will be available until Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 5 p.m.

The Beaches, Parks and Recreation Commission is currently considering and will be discussing dog access to City beaches at its next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 6:00pm. The meeting will be held via teleconference and can be viewed via live stream from the City’s YouTube channel at www.san-clemente.org/live.

Additionally, the City has begun the process of updating site specific park master plans of five parks: Bonito Canyon Park, Linda Lane Park, Richard T. Steed Memorial Park/Baron Von Willard Dog Park, San Gorgonio Park, and San Luis Rey Park. Taking just a moment to complete a survey regarding dog access will help form future discussions regarding dog access and amenities in San Clemente.

For more information on this survey and feedback program, please contact the Beaches, Parks & Recreation Department at (949) 361-8237, or e-mail Recreation@san-clemente.org.
