San Clemente Kicks Annual Car Show Into High Gear

The 25th annual San Clemente Car Show returns to downtown San Clemente Saturday Sept. 11.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA — Classic car enthusiasts, rejoice — the San Clemente Car Show is rolling back into town Saturday Sept. 11 for its 25th year.

Hosted and produced by the San Clemente Business Association, the San Clemente Car show is a staple event that has a little something for all. The show will take place on Avenida Del Mar, and every car from classics, rods, muscle and exotic will be lining two blocks of downtown San Clemente.

The show, which generally sees around 300 cars per year, began 25 years ago when a handful of vintage car enthusiasts met at the San Clemente Community Center. This year, the San Clemente Car Show expects to showcase 250 cars and host roughly 15,000 visitors, according to the show's website. The show will kick-off at 10 a.m. Saturday with a 9/11 remembrance ceremony.

The show will be held in the 100 and 200 blocks of Avenida Del Mar in downtown San Clemente and is slotted to run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. More information about the car show is available on the website.
