Scattered Showers To Give Way To Slight Warming Trend In San Clemente

Orange County will enjoy a slight warming trend between two cold storms book-ending the week.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Light rain fell across Orange County for a second day Tuesday, and strong winds swept parts of the region, especially the foothills and mountains.

Monday's rainfall was variable across the region, ranging from no rain at UCLA to 1.75 inch in Avalon.

Rain was also forecast in Orange County Tuesday, along with highs of 61 In Laguna Beach; 62 in San Clemente and Yorba Linda; 63 in Newport Beach, Anaheim and Mission Viejo; 64 in Fullerton; and 65 in Irvine.

Temperatures are expected to climb by a few degrees under partly cloudy skies Wednesday and by several degrees more under partly cloudy skies on Thursday, when temperatures will reach the mid 70s in a few Orange County communities. Temperatures will fall by 10 degrees or more on Friday, when another round of rain is in the forecast.
