Sheriff's: Man Shot Gun Inside Talega Home
Here's what those sirens were all about last night.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies arrived in force Tuesday night to a call of shots fired inside a Talega home.
Deputies arrested Richard Steven Gerstein, 51, on the suspicion of shooting a firearm with negligence, said Jeff Hallock, spokesman for the sheriff’s department. The incident took place at 8:41 p.m. in the 0 block of Via Balcon, according to the sheriff’s blotter.
“It wasn’t at anybody,” Hallock said. “Nobody was injured.”

Gerstein remains in custody, with bail set at $25,000. He is due in court on Thursday.
