Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your San Clemente Patch surf report. Well, it's definitely worth grabbin' a few before you make your way into work!
Yep, we're seeing the continued run of playful size surf today.
Those conditions are starting off pretty clean, but because of the return of the marine layer, you just never know if or when the wind is going to get on it. As far as the surf goes, we've got mostly slowly fading south southwest swell and just a tad of that northwest windswell.

That recipe is giving this stretch of sand some kinda crumbly, sectiony lines, with a few good corners to grab. Most San Clemente spots are hanging in that knee- to chest-high range, with those top south-facing breaks pulling some shoulder-high plus sets.
At 5:50 this morning the tide drained out to a negative 1.2 low which won't help things early on. Many spots will be kind of inconsistent throughout mid-morning because of the lack of water. Your best bet will be once that tide turns around and eventually climbs up to a 3.9 high at 12:15 this afternoon.

If you're planning on paddling, well, that water temperature has climbed up a bit, so you can definitely get out a 3/2 fullsuit, with it averaging between 59 and 62 degrees.
See ya in the water!
