Well, it's definitely a good day for the youngsters. Yep, we're not seeing much energy out there.
The conditions are nice and glassy early on, with a mixture of small action in the water. There's some lingering northwest swell and some minor southerly swell in the background.

That recipe is providing some pretty soft and peaky lines, with a few fun ones, with the small wave gear. Most spots in San Clemente are running about knee- to waist-high, with the focal points pulling maybe a plus set.
At 6:59 this morning the tide climbs up to a 4.6 high which will have many spots pretty slow throughout mid-morning. So if you can, wait for that tide to drop a bit before paddling out. It eventually drains out to a 0.0 low at 1:41 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 58 degrees. See ya' in the water!
FYI: County Health Officials urge surfers and swimmers to stay out of the ocean for at least 72 hours after a rain due to urban runoff, especially near river mouths, storm drains and harbor entrances.
