SURF REPORT: Much Better Energy Tuesday

Get out there and enjoy the action!

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your San Clemente Patch surf report.

Well, it looks like we're seeing a shift in the swells out there, so you'll want to hit up one of those top south facing breaks.

We're starting off, with much cleaner conditions out there today. As far as the waves go, there's mainly increasing south southwest swell and just a hint of northwest energy. That recipe is giving this stretch of sand some fast sectiony lines, with some nice wedgy shoulders to snag.

Most spots in San Clemente are running about knee- to chest-high, with the top south facing breaks pulling a few bigger sets.

At 4:58 early this morning the tides drained out to a negative 1.4 low which will have many spots lacking water early to mid-morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 4.2 high at 11:17 later this morning and then drops again to a 1.3 low at 4:26 this afternoon.

If you're planning on paddling, well that water temperature is on the rise for now, so you'll need no more than a 3/2 full, with it averaging between 60 and 62 degrees.

See ya in the water!
