Volunteers from the Community Resource Center of San Clemente, The Breath Center and the San Clemente Collaborative combined forces to provide an “Afternoon of Wellness” at Camp Pendleton for approximately 40 male and female Marines from helicopter unit MAG 39. Free wellness services included acupuncture treatments, a de-stressing presentation and nutrition education. Feedback from the “Afternoon of Wellness” event was well received and the Chaplain’s office has asked our collaborative team of volunteers from San Clemente to come back monthly to provide wellness services for the Marines. The next “Afternoon of Wellness” event at Camp Pendleton is scheduled for July 11th from 1-4pm.
