Blind Corner for Pedestrians Peeves Resident

VIDEO: Get a child's level view of the approach to a busy intersection near schools.

Regular city critic Clint Worthington took phone camera into hand again to demonstrate what he says is a very unsafe intersection for children.

Worthington, who used a camera to capture a recent altercation with Tom Ostensen of the privately run San Juan Capistrano Open Space Foundation, videotaped a walk many school children make when they leave either Marco Forster Middle School, Del Obispo Elementary or Kinoshita Elementary

The approach to the Del Avion-Alipaz Street intersection is completely blind because of the fence being so close to the sidewalks and shrubbery on the other side, Worthington says in his video, which he posted on YouTube

Cars are seen on the video running through the stop sign.

Worthington has brought the video to the city's attention. City Manager Karen Brust told him staff would look into it.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS INTERSECTION? DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR FIXING IT?
