A car slammed into a bank of natural gas meters today at an apartment building in Ladera Ranch, prompting authorities to evacuate 12 units and hold preschool students in their classrooms across the street.The accident near Narrow Canyon and Aura Lane occurred about 10:15 a.m., Orange County Fire Authority Division Chief Kris Concepcion said.
