"Travelers' Tales" episode tells of the spirit of the seventeenth century Dutch travelers who ventured to sail around the globe in search of wealth and knowledge and has certain similarities to the Voyager missions to Jupiter and Saturn. The achievements made in this new golden age of exploration are the stars of this episode. See a demonstration of the Voyager live on stage!
Following the screening, Planetary Science Professor David Stevenson will show us videos of the recent Cassini, Galileo and Juno missions in the quest for exploration.
Prior to the episode, celebrate Sagan Day at 6:15 in the Cafe on the upper level. Anyone wearing a turtleneck and a sports jacket will be entered in the Sagan lookalike contest. Lots of prizes.
