Man Uses Folding Chair as Weapon

It was getting real in the Big Lots parking lot. At 2:42 p.m. Friday, a caller reported two men in a verbal dispute, with one threateningly holding a folding chair. The caller feared it was about to get physical.

At 7:19 p.m. Friday, vandalism was reported at Mission San Juan Capistrano. According to the report, the wall facing El Camino Real near Serra Chapel had fresh graffiti.

At 6:29 p.m. Friday, deputies arrested a 37-year-old man for shoplifting at Vons. Deputies, who conducted a related vehicle search, reported the man was cooperative. He remains in custody in lieu of $50,000 bail.

At 4:37 p.m. Friday, a stolen car was reported in the 31800 block of Camino Capistrano. The informant was waiting for deputies at Whim.

At 1:26 p.m. Friday, deputies received a call about suspicious people in the 26200 block of Roundtree Court. The caller said two men were in front and the right of the caller’s house and were smoking marijuana from a bong.
