NCL Donates Supplies to Local Philanthropies
NCL donates supplies to local philanthropies during chapter event.

The Capistrano Coast Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL) met on Monday, October 20, to make 56 fleece blankets for children temporarily residing at CHOC Children’s at Mission Hospital and Laura’s House. At the same time, other chapter members donated school supplies and volunteered time onsite at Kinoshita Elementary School helping with various needed school projects. All donated items for this chapter event were provided by the Capistrano Coast NCL members and included blanket kits, school supplies and cash gifts.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room at CHOC Children’s at Mission Hospital offers families food, sleeping rooms, and a place to relax just steps away from their children who are patients in the pediatric, neonatal, or cardiovascular intensive care units within the hospital. CHOC Children’s at Mission Hospital serves as the only dedicated pediatric healthcare facility for families in south Orange County and the surrounding coastal areas. The blankets provided by NCL members will be donated to the families and children that are seeking treatment at the hospital to provide comfort during their time of need.
Laura’s House provides services and shelter to women and children who are victims of domestic violence and abuse. The blankets made by members will help give a sense of security to residents while they are in transition at Laura’s House.
