New Traffic Closure Schedule for Ortega Highway

Caltrans is advising commuters of the following emergency traffic closure schedule due to and:

Westbound lane is open from 4:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Candy Store at the Riverside County line. The eastbound lane  is closed from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Nichols Institute access road.

The east and westbound lanes are closed between Nichols Institute access road and Candy Store in Riverside County from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m..  

Both east and westbound lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The westbound lane planned to be open after 1 a.m. The eastbound lane is planned to be open at 1:30 a.m. with continuous two way traffic flagging control until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30.

"As always, to ensure the safety of workers and the traveling public, in a construction zone, please remember to “slow for the cone zone,” be alert, and proceed with caution," said CalTrans spokeswoman Tracey Lavelle.
