Nursery Worker Finds More than Just Flowers in a Gardening Bed

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, juveniles play ball against a car and a possible intruder.

EDITOR'S NOTE: This story has been corrected to indicate a gardening center employee, not a shopper, found the paraphernalia.

That’s not what shoppers would want! At 10:23 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported finding a bag of drug paraphernalia in a gardening bed at the Armstrong Gardening Center. According to an employee at the nursery, between closing Wednesday night and opening Thursday morning, someone had dropped a small bag containing drug paraphernalia over one of the gates onto a rack of plants. As the associate was putting the our plant material away Thursday morning, it was discovered.
