• Work Set to Begin on Cleaning 2 Orange County Channels Without Herbicides (mynewsla.com) — San Juan Capistrano's San Juan and Trabuco Creek channels will be cleared of overgrown vegetation this winter using manual methods instead of herbicides or pesticides, in a new Orange County pilot program. County crews will work for several months to prepare for storm season, track invasive regrowth, and evaluate whether this chemical-free approach can be expanded to other local waterways.
