Rite Aid continues to shine as our little index far outperforms the mainstream indices.

It was a blah week on the market ... blah unless you held our companies.
The Dow Jones was down .43 percent, while the S&P was up .09. Not exactly stellar.

McDonald's was a big loser on the week, dropping to a five-month low. That's because February sales were way down, mostly because of Europe, according to Galaxy Stocks.

Radio Shack also continues to struggle. Standards & Poors downgraded its creditworthiness score from B+ to BB-, according to Zacks.
Meanwhile, Radio Shack had a second great week, gaining more than 10 percent.

Nationwide, Residence Inn by Marriott will be starting a new advertising campaign to educate potential guests about why its brand is best for long-term stays, according to the Bradenton Herald. The slogan will be, "It's not a room, it's a Residence." Word is from , the average stay is 19 days.
Because the supermarket industry as a whole doesn't look good in the next year, Safeway (AKA Vons around here), says it will focus on property development and gift card sales, according to the Wall Street Journal. So the question becomes, paper or plastic or a birthday card?
After going without a bonus since 2008, Citigroup's CEO, Vikram Pandit, finally got one in 2011, $14.9 million, according to Bloomberg News. The bonus marks a return to profitability for the company. Pandit took over in December 2007.
