Waste Management of Southern California Welcomes Vincent "Chip" Monaco to Orange County Public Sector Solutions team

Chip Monaco joins company as municipal market manager in Orange County

Waste Management of Southern California announced today the addition of Vincent β€œChip” Monaco to the public sector solutions team in Orange County as its municipal market manager overseeing contracts and municipal affairs for Waste Management in Orange County.

Monaco joins Waste Management with 15 years of municipal management and leadership experience in inter-government collaboration and community relations.

β€œWe could not be more excited to welcome Chip Monaco to the team,” said Doug Corcoran, area director of Public Sector Solutions for Waste Management of Southern California. β€œHis experience and relationships in Orange County are a tremendous asset to Waste Management, and we look forward to seeing his leadership skills in action with our municipal affairs team.”

Monaco most recently acted as deputy director of government and community relations for OC Waste and Recycling in Santa Ana where he supervised a $20 million budget and served as the top political and communications advisor. Prior to deputy director, he served as chief of staff to Orange County Board of Supervisors’ member Patricia Bates and public affairs and management services manager for OC Waste and Recycling in Santa Ana. Other professional experience includes communications and government relations manager at OC Public Works and Inaugural Electronic Elections.

Monaco currently serves on the board of directors for Anaheim Public Utilities and is a member of both the Solid Waste Association of North America and the International City/County Managers Association. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Chapman University and a master’s degree in public administration from Brandman University.
